The Beatitudes examines God’s formula for happiness in the Kingdom of God. It provides keys to discipleship in the modern world so that we can be world-changers, history-makers, and planet-shakers.
This book portrays the Christian as culturally counter to the common man in the world, as opposed to Christians who live in a Spirit-filled community under the reign of King Jesus.
Stories are used as illustrations to help us appreciate and live out the Beatitudes. The stories prepare our hearts and minds to respond to fears and self-centeredness, grief, managing power under control, holy dissatisfaction, offenses, strife, and persecutions. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can do the will of God as encapsulated by the Beatitudes.
