The Book of Malachi is the final book of the Old Testament. It offers us a glimpse into the hearts of the people of Israel at that time.

The children of Israel had returned from captivity to Jerusalem for more than one hundred years. They were still waiting for the blessings they expected when they returned to Israel. But they did not see it because they strayed from the Lord. By this time, apathy had kicked in and a spiritual lethargy came over the people. This was when Malachi came along to remind them that God’s love for them is unchanging and he summoned their hearts back to God. This short but powerful prophetic book reminds us that without God’s grace, we can never love God fully.
